Open Mic 101 (a closed mic for beginners)

Vocal tips and warm ups

Have you always wanted to try performing but an open mic feels too intimidating? Welcome to your middle step! In this 8 week "closed mic", you'll learn basic performance tips and gain confidence on the microphone.

Held at Haus of Owl (780 Blanshard St).

Intro to Singing (learn the basics)

March 16th 6-7:30pm - $295 8 weeks

Learn to sing in a supportive, easy-going environment
Selection of fun, popular songs
Learn the basics of warming up and harmony

Interested in learning or brushing up on the basics? Sing in this small, heartful group and learn the fundamentals of warming up while improving your breath/vocal control, pitch, volume and musical ear!

Songwriting circle: March 16th 8-9:30pm

$295 8 weeks (beginner/intermediate)

Get tips and tricks to develop yourself as an artist. No experience necessary!

Learn about the songwriting process

This course offers a private facebook group that allows students to participate from a distance and continue after completion!

Performance 101 will be jam-packed with insider music industry tips and will feature our very own Daine Spowart (live sound tech and producer) to offer you professional advice on getting the best sound live.

STUDENT SHOWCASE

SingIT studio has a sister studio (DrumIT Studio) and together, under the umbrella of "IT Music" we put on an evening of music for students' friends and family at The Mint! Students perform 1-2 songs of their choice on The Mint stage. It's a really fun and supportive event! Next one is pending for late Spring
